At MacNeill, we are committed to creating a learning environment where every student feels supported, engaged, and empowered to succeed. Building on the priorities that have guided us in previous years, we continue to focus on the areas our staff values as essential to the success of our school community. This year, we are excited to strengthen that foundation by introducing a new goal in literacy, while maintaining our commitment to the three key areas that remain central to our work.

Our focus areas include:

• Instructional Quality – Student confidence and achievement begin when learning is meaningful and connected to their interests. By providing engaging and relevant instruction, we help students develop the skills they need to become lifelong learners.

   

• Parent Partnership – Student success is strongest when school and family work together. A strong partnership creates the balanced support students need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

   

• Student Connections – A sense of belonging is essential for learning. We strive to create a welcoming community where every student feels valued and connected to their peers and school culture.

   

• Literacy (New Goal) – For 2025–2026, we have added a new goal focused on increasing student confidence and resilience in reading and comprehension. Through intentional teaching and consistent practice of common language and skills across all subject areas, we aim to strengthen literacy development for every learner.
