Working together to grow our community.
As a result of our learning during the student focus groups, the staff and admin team at MacNeill brainstormed and came up with a few actions that we could put into place to respond to the needs identified by our students. Some of these actions were developing an understanding of cyber safety, connecting students back to school and finding COVID-19 friendly activities to allow students to build connections to each other.
In order to help parents develop an understanding of keeping our students safe while online, the RCMP liaison office shared a presentation and information with parents at an online PAC meeting to which all parents and families were invited.
In an effort to help students be more aware pf how they might connect with Peers some senior students created posters designed to let students know which clubs were still running.
In order to celebrate our Grade 12’s we put together a gift bag for each Grad. This consisted of a MacNeill water bottle a gift card teacher trading cards, buttons, all wrapped up in a MacNeill Ravens carrying bag.
A Grad event where students were able to play games outside was also organised by the Grad committee but sadly this had to be cancelled because of the extreme heat day on June 29th.
