A Message from the Board of Education: End of the 2025/26 School Year

Dear Richmond School District Community,

As the school year comes to a close, the Richmond Board of Education would like to offer its appreciation to everyone who has contributed to the life of our schools over the past year.

To our students: We are proud of your hard work, growth and resilience. To our staff: Thank you for your dedication, care and commitment to student success. To parents and caregivers: We appreciate your ongoing support and partnership. To our partner groups and the broader community: Thank you for the many ways you contribute to our schools and support students throughout Richmond.

Across the district, students have continued to learn, develop and take on new challenges. This progress has been made possible through the encouragement, guidance and partnership found throughout our community.

The past year has brought many moments of achievement and connection. Together, these experiences have helped foster welcoming school communities where students can feel confident and supported in their learning.

As summer approaches, we hope the coming weeks bring time for renewal and opportunities to be with family and friends. We also recognize that learning and district operations will continue for some members of our community during the summer, and we appreciate their continued efforts.

Thank you for everything you have contributed this year. We look forward to beginning the next school year together.

Warmest regards,

Ken Hamaguchi, Chairperson
On behalf of the Board of Education (Richmond)
