Dear Students and Parents,

On Thursday December 4th, all students across the district will participate in a seminar on the topic of the Using AI Responsibly during PLT.

The session will focus on three main areas:

• Learning about chatbots and large language models (LLMs)
• Discussing strengths and limitations of chatbots and LLMs
• Learning and practicing using strategies for using AI tools responsibly

On Thursday December 4th:

• School will begin at the regular time of 8:30 AM.
• Students will not sign up for regular PLT on this day. Instead, they will remain in their 1st Block class for PLT to take part in the seminar.
• Grade 11 and 12 students with a Study during Block 1-1 should report to ROOM 263 during PLT (9:43am-10:31am) for the seminar.
