Reminder for thoses that need access to your MyEd accounts for your program planning next year & report cards that will posted online next week.

Grads of 2026, the deadline for ordering a grad hoodie is fast approaching. It is $45 for the hoodie, and $55 if you want customization on the sleeve. If you are interested in getting one, please pay for it on SchoolCashOnline and fill out the Microsoft Form with sizing and customization details. If you have any questions, you can speak with Mr. Leung or Ms. Tan about it. Deadline is Monday, February 2nd, so act quickly!

At the conclusion of week 4, Shanelle Goronal in grade 11, and Shin May Kha in grade 8, have joined the list of platinum certificate readers for reading EVERY SINGLE book in the Reading Riot challenge! Congratulations! MacNeill's favourite titles so far are That's Not My Name and A Quantum Life for novels, and The Summer Hikaru Died and Uprooted for graphic novels. This week's Reading Riot prize draw winner is Linn Kha in grade 12. Read, rate and repeat. 

 

There is a student voice forum meeting for the cafeteria focus group at lunch in Room A115 today.

 

If you are interested in joining the First Responders Team for the 2026-2027 school year, come to an information session on February 4th, Wednesday at lunch, in Room A115. Please see Ms. Mei or Ms. Li if you have questions.

For all grade 10 and 11 students, the district Career Programs Office is hosting several information sessions for our post-secondary dual credit programs.  These will be held in the evening on Zoom or Teams starting this week.  Info nights will cover programs in: Biomedical and Health Science, Early Childhood Education, Trades Training, Medical Lab Assistant and Health Care Assistant and Manufacturing & Engineering co-op program. The poster with passcodes is also on the Career Programs slat board in or near the counselling office.

There will be an ultimate frisbee meeting on Thursday at lunch for all those interested in playing ultimate. This meeting will be open to all Grade 8s-12s in Room 265.

We are now in our fourth week of the Reading Riot challenge, and we are super excited to celebrate a very special achievement by Linn Kha in grade 12 for completing the Reading Riot for all five years at MacNeill. Congratulations! A reminder that if you are done a Reading Riot book, please return them to the Library Learning Commons as soon as possible because there is a long wait list for most of the titles. Finally, last week's prize draw winner is Oliver Chen in grade 8. Read, rate and repeat!
