We need your help to organize and host Dry After Grad!!

 

Dry After Grad (DAG) is an overnight event that takes place after the formal grad dinner/ dance and provides graduates with a safe, drug/alcohol-free venue to continue celebrating their graduation day and make special memories together.  DAG 2025 at MacNeill is slated for June 24th, 2025.  This fun-filled, action-packed night is full of entertainment, music, food, prizes and celebration with friends. The event is fully supervised and is sponsored and organized by parents of our school community.

 

Students, teacher advisors, and school administrators are the primary organizers of the graduation ceremony at the Chan Centre, and the formal Dinner Dance earlier in the evening of June 24th from about 5pm to 11pm.  But the parents alone take responsibility for organizing the Dry After Grad party and keeping your grads safe in the overnight hours of this important day.  

 

We need Parents to make this event happen!!!!!!!

 

Core Parent Organizers: The event requires the energy and devotion of a core group of about 10-12 parents to plan and organize the party, book the entertainment, decide on themes, purchase merchandise for prize bags.  And this requires about 6 months of planning to pull off this wonderful night.

 

Parent Supervisors: We need about 25-30 parent volunteers to be present during the overnight party to supervise partygoers, run the activities, collaborate with entertainers, and serve food at the event.

 

Parent Fundraisers/ Sponsors: We also need parents who have connections with businesses in the community to obtain sponsors and collect donations to use as prizes, and to plan and host fundraisers throughout the year to raise money and interest for the DAG.

 

Parent Decorators: We need parents who are crafty and know how to decorate a Red Carpet, create balloon arches, and have artistic vision to decorate for Photo Ops and Decorate the two gyms for the overnight party.  

 

The Red Carpet Photo Op takes place in the late afternoon of June 24th so that the grads can take a whole grad class photo and pose for fun photos with friends and family in the school before going to the formal Dinner/Dance.

o Yes, I have a financial gift or something to donate to DAG.

o No I am not able to help.
