Social Media Awareness, Digital Citizenship, and Cyberbullying Resources Packet
Hello Parent, Guardian and Caregivers,
As a follow-up to the district's recent Safer Schools Together Social Media Awareness, Digital Citizenship, and Cyberbullying parent session on Wednesday, November 13, please find below the resource/slides referenced by presenter Tyler Lum. This is being shared to inform our community of parental involvement and awareness of digital space use.
If any parents missed the last presentation on November 13 and would like to register for the complimentary Family Sessions through the Ministry of Education and Childcare’s erase strategy, they can register here:
https://pages.saferschoolstogether.com/erase-family-session
There is one session per month, and they are open to families and children aged 10 and up.
MacNeill strongly encourages our parents, guardians and care givers to know what is going on in the social media world. This presentation could allow you to ask questions and gather more information to understand the complexities that our young people are dealing with daily and how you can support them in this dynamic.
MacNeill has a Digital Citizenship Expectation within our school, please see the link below to read the details:
