Parents as Education and Career Coaches- EducationPlannerBC's virtual presentation for School District 38 Richmond

Hello SD38 Secondary Families,

EducationPlannerBC invites parents, families, and student supporters from Richmond SD 38 and Delta SD 37 to join their virtual workshop: Parents as Education and Career Coaches (PECC) on Wednesday, November 20th, from 6:30pm to 7:45pm.

Learn how you can support your student in planning for their future. The information will be especially helpful for families with students in Grades 10-12, but anyone is welcome to attend.

The session is engaging and informative, and includes a website tour followed by a Q&A.  The session will be recorded and sent to all registrants following the session.  (So, even if you have a conflict for the date, be sure to register to get the recorded link.)

Topics include:

·        B.C.’s post-secondary education landscape, including institutions and credentials

·        Program and admission requirements, and application dates

·        Costs of post-secondary and options for financial aid

·        Career exploration resources

·        Using new tools such as My List to save and compare programs

·        Applying for admission through EducationPlannerBC.ca

This will be hosted on MS Teams. Registration is required.  (Use link access below or QR code in attached poster.)
