The Charles Labatiuk Scholarship is a legacy gift of Charles Labatiuk & the Charles Labatiuk Nature Endowment Fund. As an avid nature conservationist, mountaineer, and world traveler, Charles wanted to awards students $1000 to pursue studies in natural environmental systems.
ELIGIBILITY:

Must be entering or continuing studies at an accredited Canadian college or university with a focus in the interdisciplinary study of natural environmental systems. TO APPLY:

Students must submit a maximum 1000-word essay that reflects on why nature conservation is important to you and the world, how you want to contribute to conservation, and how your studies will help you achieve your goals. Nature Canada Awards Committee will score the essays based on the following criteria:
• Intellectual content (original, thought-provoking) – 50%
• Presentation and style – 50%
• Only one essay submission per applicant.
