The MacNeill Theatre Production is coming up! The play is called The Internet is Distract-OH LOOK A KITTEN! Shows are December 7th, 8^th and 9th. Tickets are on sale in the lounge at lunch! $5 for students, 10$ for adults. Get your tickets before they're gone!

 

Announcer #1: "You know that movie night on Dec 6th ?"

Announcer #2: "Wait. What?"

Announcer #1: "The Grizzlie Truth" thing!"

Announcer #2: "Oh that!"

Announcer #1: "I heard a rumour that there's going to be a TOONIE TOSS that night!"

Announcer #2: "Bless you!........ A what?!"

Announcer #1: "A TOONIE TOSS! You throw a toonie from the top of the lounge and whoever gets closest to the target wins!"

Announcer #2: "What's the target?"

Announcer #1: "A crisp $50 bill! The closest toonie wins!"

Announcer #2: "STEPH CURRY FOR THE WIN!!!!!"

Announcer #1: "You embarrass me on a daily basis, but it's for a good cause. So on Dec 6th, bring your TOONIES for the toonie toss and some cash for the concession stand!"

 

There will be a teacher vs. senior girls volleyball game on Monday Dec 5th at lunch in the large gym. Come and watch!

 

The rec leadership will be selling Stronger Than Cancer shirts today at lunch in the lounge. Long Sleeves will be $20 and Crewnecks are $25. All proceeds will go to the BC Cancer Foundation.

 

Next week, Rec Leadership presents a spirit week! On Monday it is Stronger than Cancer Day - come to school wearing your stronger than cancer merch or anything purple! Don't forget to stop by the gym after school for our home opener basketball games and our 8th annual stronger than cancer fundraising event.

 

For any performance-inclined students out there, sign-ups to perform at our Holiday Breakfast are now open! You have until Friday, Dec. 9th to put your name down! Feel free to sign up either by yourself, or with a group, and we hope to see you on the big stage!

 

Board games club is continuing the chess tournament from 2 weeks ago! Join us in Mr. Luk's room after school.

 

Come by the gym, today at lunch, if you are interested in competing in a 3 point contest. A limited number of spots available to participate. There will be a prize for the student who makes it to the top!

 

Anyone who wishes to attend Jumuaah, Muslim Friday prayers, please report to the theatre at the beginning of lunch.

Announcer #1: "Come to the theatre on Dec 6^th at 7:30pm. We will be showing the movie: "The Grizzlie Truth" which is all about why the Grizzlies left us in tears! Tix are $10. Follow the QR code on the posters or go see Mr. Henders for tickets. This is a fundraiser as part of our "Stronger Than Cancer Week."

Calling all debaters, MacNeill’s Model United Nation club will be hosting a meeting at lunch in Mr. Thorsen’s room (room 224) today. Everyone is welcome to join!

 

Attention grade 10-12’s! The Richmond RCMP Youth Academy has extended the application deadline to Monday, December 5^th! If you have an interest in police work as a possible future career and would like to participate in this camp designed for high school students in February, pick up an application outside Ms Mayer’s career office and return it to the office by Dec. 5^th!
