Reminder for students that have forgotten their MYED accounts, please sign the white clip board in the office before the interims are published on Monday - Halloween.

 

Reminder for grade 10 students the GNA is starting on Monday, the schedule is posted outside of the office. 

 

The used book sale has been extended until Monday, October 31st. Come check out the great selections of fantasy, mystery, romance novels and more. 

 

Can you find Trogdor one last time? The search ends today at 3:30. The draw for baby Trogdors will take place on Halloween.
For those of you who speak Parseltongue, "Trogdor has been captured by the hssssa". 

 

Congratulations to our senior girls volleyball team on an exciting with against McRoberts last night. Thank you to the fans for coming out to support the team on seniors night! Catch them in action again next week as we host the Senior Girls Volleyball Richmond playoffs.

 

There will be a Grade 8 girls volleyball meeting right after school today in Ms. Quan's room.

 

There will be an open gym for Grade 8 and Grade 9 boys interested in playing basketball this season today at 3:15 pm.  See you then.

 

Just a reminder that today is the last day to work on your advisory door decorating! On Monday, judges will be coming around to determine our winner!

 

Quick reminder that rec leadership is hosting a costume contest on Monday in the lounge at lunch. Every participant gets a prize. There are different categories, such as scariest costume, funniest costume, and the costume that shows the most school spirit. Show your support and join us on Halloween!

 

Rec Leadership presents .... Squid Game Week! next Tuesday to Friday. Grade 8s on Tuesday; Grade 9s on Wednesday, Grade 10s on Thursday and Grade 11/12s on Friday. Come out to the large gym at lunch on your grades' day to compete in squid-games inspired challenges for prizes. Posters are around the school for more information. There is a sign up link for 11/12s. For Grade 8-10s feel free to show up on the day of to participate!
 

I have some BIG news to add to the morning announcements for Language Challenge Exams:  Language Challenge Exams are now available for Farsi 11 and Farsi 12.  Students interested in writing either exam can get more information from me.

Congratulations to all our Cross Country runners who made it out to the South Fraser Zone Championships yesterday! You all ran hard and brought that Raven spirit with you! Also congratulations to Joshua Mayan for qualifying for Provincials! GO RAVENS!!

 

Come out and support your junior boys volleyball team today with their final home game right after school against Burnett!

 

It's Seniors night! come cheer on your senior girls volleyball team as they take on McRoberts in the large gym tonight at 6PM and recognize the graduating players on the team.

 

Student Council would like to say thank you to everyone who came to the Haunted House. Special thanks to all the volunteers who helped set up, act and guide as well!

Congratulations to the Senior Boys' Soccer Team on ANOTHER victory yesterday against Richmond Secondary. The weather was treacherous, vibes were bad, but the team persevered for a hard fought win. Goals scored by Ahmed Homan and Pedro Fernandez, while Owen Shum recorded the shut out. Catch the team playing again tomorrow at Minoru as they close off the regular season and cross their fingers for a late playoff push.

 

Come and cheer on your grade 8 girls volleyball team at their last regular season game of the season after school today.

Congratulations to the senior boys’ soccer team on their hard-fought victory against McRoberts yesterday! Andrew King and Abishek Parikh continued their tireless defensive effort to shut down the opposing players, while captain Ahmed Homan recorded a phenomenal hat-trick performance. If you are tired of watching the Vancouver Canucks and want to see a team that is actually pushing for playoff contention, come watch your Ravens play at Richmond Secondary today after school. All support is appreciated!

 

Congratulations to our grade 8 girls volleyball team on their win against McNair yesterday. Sign up sheets for the Winter Season have now been posted on the bulletin board across the gym. Please write your name down if you are interested in trying out for a basketball team or playing table tennis this upcoming season. Stay tuned for try out information coming in the next few weeks. Note that all teams are subject to player and coach interest.

Congratulations to our Senior Girls on placing first at their volleyball play day last Friday at Steveston London. Another congratulations to our Junior boys team for finishing third at their tournament over the weekend. Come out and support our grade 8 girls volleyball team this afternoon as they play McNair at home.
