Each year, the Incentive student council or teachers suggest initiatives that enable students to give back to their communities. Current examples include:
- Fundraising for BC Children's Hospital through building and racing cardboard boats
- Supporting a child in Africa
- Participating in the Great Canadian Shore Cleanup
- Collecting food and clothing for the food bank
In addition to single iniatives, all students in the Incentive Program are required to complete a certain number of volunteer hours each year (10/20/30 hours depending on grade). We encourage students to choose a volunteer position that enables them to help the community while building valuable life skills. Many students go above and beyond the requirements and are recognized as being outstanding volunteers in the community.
