Post-Secondary & Scholarship Information

Most Grade 12 students and parents have questions about what to do next year and how to do it. MacNeill presents a variety of events to address these questions.  Each fall, the school hosts both a Grade 12 Parent Info Night and a Post-Secondary Mini-Fair, and the District sponsors a large Canadian Universities Event.  Various post-secondary schools also offer lunch time info sessions at different times throughout the year. Information regarding these opportunities can be found on the info board in the Counselling & Career Centre.  Students should also bookmark and check regularly the Career Centre Web Site ( Facebook users can receive regular updates and reminders of important dates by clicking “like it” on Ms. Mayer’s Career Centre Facebook page (

Counsellors and our Career Advisor visit senior classrooms prior to the PS Mini-Fair and during Program Planning to show students how to find post-secondary admission requirements, and offer an additional lunch time workshop.  Students are also welcome to book an appointment to meet with their counsellor and/or our Career Information Advisor individually.

Consideration for MacNeill Scholarships begins in late spring. Any grade 12 student wishing to be considered for one of these scholarships must complete a MacNeill Scholarship Application Form by APRIL 7, 2017 11:59PM.
