Applying to Universities/Colleges: Now is a great time to do your research!
Colleges begin accepting applications for on a specific date and cut off applicants once a program is full so the earlier students apply, (as soon as it opens and not before), the better.
Universities begin accepting applications in Sept/Oct and consider each application based on a specific set of course/grade criteria not necessarily how early students have applied and stop accepting applications on a specific date.
Online Application for Admission To BC Colleges and Universities:
Students should use EducationPlannerBC: https://apply.educationplannerbc.ca to apply.
This service allows students to apply for admission to most public post-secondary institutions in British Columbia. Complete the EducationPlannerBC Common Form once, then students can apply to several institutions.
Application for Admission to Alberta Universities: https://applyalberta.ca/
Application for Admission to Ontario Universities: https://www.ouac.on.ca/ouac-105/
All other Post-Secondary Institutions: Check their websites for instructions.
StudentsTranscripts Service (STS). Students will need to register with STS in order to for the post-secondary schools where they are applying to access their marks for offers and acceptance. Students need their PEN number to register. To access the service, visit the Ministry of Education’s Order Transcripts and Certificates website: www.StudentTranscripts.gov.bc.ca and follow the instructions found there.
*Note: Some Post-secondary institutions may require your grade information earlier than available through this process. Students need to be familiar with each institution’s requirements regarding grade submission. If required official hardcopy or electronic transcripts are available from the main office at a cost of $5.
Many universities & colleges require additional information such as transcripts or supplemental applications or profiles and may have a deadline separate from the application deadline. Check each institution's website for details.
Offers of Admission: Grade 12 students who have applied to a university/college for entry in September are reminded to regularly check the institution's secured student service (student account) website/portal for new messages. Many sites require students to use the Identification Number that was noted on their confirmation letter along with a password. These sites contain important details regarding: transcript submission, self-reporting, admission offers, course pre-requisites, registration, deadline dates, contact information, grades, etc.
Post- Secondary Offers beginning now. Carefully read offers and deadlines for acceptance.

APR 30/22 BC Hockey Scholarships Applications Deadline
Awarded annually to registered members to give recognition to those who develop their academic career aspirations while at the same time nourishing their interest in hockey. Monetary awards vary from $500 to $2,000. Must be a current registered member or a former BC Hockey member playing in the Western Hockey League.
APR 30/22 Hamilton Community Associate Scholarship Deadline
An award of $1,000 will be presented at the graduation ceremony, or ceremonies of the successful applicant(s), with proof of acceptance into a post-secondary program.
How to Apply:

MAY 6/22 - IODE British Columbia 2022 Arts Award Deadline - value $1,000
This is an Award given each year, in competition, to help a student of the Arts (Visual or Performing). The winner must show great promise in his/her chosen arts field. The applicant must be a resident of British Columbia and be in grade 10-12 inclusive. The application must include a 500 word statement, a transcript, a list of artistic achievements, a recent publicity about their artistic achievements and 3 letters of reference.
