Incentive students have a strong tradition of being recognized in the local and national community for their work across various subjects. Below are a few examples.
Video Production: 2 time winners of the Anti-Racism Video Contest
Incentive has won 2 national awards for the National anti-racism video contest (2007 and 2008) Winners must place in the top 10 nationally amongst about 500 entries across Canada. The winning students received an expense paid trips to Ottawa to receive their award from the federal minister of heritage and tour the nation's capital.
Science: frequent award winners at the Vancouver Regional Science Fair and National Science Fair
Incentive has an impressive record of winners at the Regional Science Fair, including an unbroken streak from 1996-2011 (actually over 15 years if you include before records were kept). Past winners include 3 gold medal award winners who went on to compete at the nationals. All Incentive science classes (grades 8-10) participate as a requirement annually.
